Film a Week of Content in One Hour

A step-by-step batching plan for busy owners. Find seven ideas, write them, film them in one sitting and schedule the lot, all inside an hour.

The reason most business accounts go quiet isn’t a lack of ideas. It’s trying to make every post from scratch, on the day, between jobs. Batching fixes that. Set aside one hour a week and do it all at once.

You’ll need your phone, a notes app and a free editing app like CapCut.

Minutes 0–10: find seven questions

Don’t invent ideas. Collect the questions your customers already ask:

  • Scroll your emails, DMs and texts from the last month.
  • Read your Google reviews. What do people praise or worry about?
  • Search your service on Google and look at the “People also ask” box.

Write down the seven best questions. Each one is a video.

Minutes 10–25: write a short answer to each

For each question, write three to five lines:

  1. Hook: the question, or the consequence of not knowing the answer.
  2. Answer: the honest answer, in plain words.
  3. Next step: what they should do now. Save it, book, or ask you.

Keep each one under 45 seconds when read aloud. Read them out once and cut anything that sounds like a brochure.

Minutes 25–45: film all seven

  • Stand facing a window for soft light.
  • Hold the phone at eye level, or prop it on a shelf.
  • Film each answer two or three times and keep the best.
  • Change your shirt or spot in the room halfway, so the week doesn’t look like one take.

Talking to camera feels awkward for the first few weeks. Everyone feels that. It passes faster than you think.

Minutes 45–55: edit and caption

In CapCut, trim the start and end, add auto captions (most people watch on mute) and export. Don’t chase perfection. Clear and useful beats polished and late.

Minutes 55–60: schedule

Use Meta Business Suite (free) to schedule all seven across Instagram and Facebook for the week ahead. Then close the app and get back to work.

Make it a habit

Book the same hour every week in your calendar, like a client meeting. After a month you’ll have 28 videos, a clearer voice on camera and a backlog of questions answered before anyone asks.

Short on even that hour? Our monthly content shoots do all of this for you in a 90-minute visit.
